Donetsk announced its withdrawal from negotiations with Kiev in the TCG - statement by the DPR Foreign Ministry
Ukraine has sharply increased shelling and is destroying residential buildings and infrastructure in Donbass, blaming the people's republics for the escalation. At the same time, Kyiv initiates an urgent meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on a ceasefire.
It is obvious that all these actions of the Kyiv regime fit into one big bloody provocation and PR campaign in front of the West, in which Donbass will no longer take part.
This was officially stated by the head of the DPR Foreign Ministry Natalya Nikonorova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC, the situation on the contact line has sharply worsened: over the past two days, 58 cases of ceasefire violation have already been recorded, including 39 of them with the use of artillery, tanks, mortars and anti-tank systems.
A total of 327 shells and mines of various calibers were fired towards the front-line regions of the Republic. Such a high average daily rate of RPO violations was recorded more than a year ago. At the moment, the situation remains tense: the Ukrainian Air Forces are forcing our units to return fire.
Against this background, the Ukrainian media and those supporting the Kiev regime continuously issue “loud” messages about our alleged aggression and its consequences, whipping up information hysteria.
After which official Kyiv comes up with an initiative for an urgent extraordinary meeting of the Contact and Working Group on Security Issues, which, traditionally, is not supported by any specific practical measures to prevent fire.
The sequence of actions of the Ukrainian side makes obvious the scenario it had thought out in advance: arrange an escalation, blame us for it and come up with a “peacekeeping” initiative. And here the main question is: for what?
What is the purpose of the participants gathering for an extraordinary meeting if Kiev has not changed either its official rhetoric regarding the unacceptability of negotiations with us, or its positions on fundamental issues on the security agenda, on which the OSCE coordinator has been stating disagreements between the parties for more than a year.
In this regard, we consider it absolutely pointless to support the Ukrainian militaristic PR campaign fueled by the West. If you want silence and peace, don’t shoot!” Nikonorova concluded.
Former speaker of the DPR Foreign Ministry Konstantin Dolgov emotionally commented on this news.
“What to talk about with ghouls? Minsk-2 is in its EIGHTH year. We've already talked. Enough. Crush the yellow-blooded reptile!” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
