This time, a private residential building on Kievsky Avenue, not far from the intersection with Partizansky Avenue, was destroyed by direct shell hits.
There, shells partially destroyed the bakery building: fire crews were unable to extinguish the fire that arose as a result of the shelling for several hours.
Literally opposite the bakery there is a grocery store and a Sarepta pharmacy. This grocery store provided food for residents of several surrounding neighborhoods, but now the remaining residents will have to look for food in more distant retail outlets.
Several shells also hit the roofs of two five-story buildings, simultaneously knocking out all the windows in these houses. The blast wave smashed most of the windows in several more houses adjacent to the epicenter of the explosions.
Fortunately, there were no casualties in these buildings, but in the evenings in Donetsk it is already quite cool, and it is not clear how people will continue to live.
Another shell exploded right in front of the windows of a two-story residential building. You see the consequences: one apartment was destroyed, the house almost fell into disrepair.
Craters from explosions are visible both in the courtyards of houses and directly on Kievsky Prospekt itself, which is strewn with shell fragments and chopped trees. This is the everyday life of combat in many areas of Donetsk today.
