Throughout the day, gun salvos and shell explosions can be clearly heard in a number of areas. The “hottest” areas today were Petrovsky, Leninsky, Kyiv and Kuibyshevsky.
Only a miracle saved the inhabitants of apartment No. 24 in a residential building on Leninsky Prospekt 9. An unexploded shell hit it: sappers managed to neutralize it and take it out.
Due to artillery shelling, 19 transformer substations supplying the Kuibyshevsky district of the city were without electricity. In addition, the Donetsk State Chemical Products Plant is de-energized.
Serious damage was caused to the municipal infrastructure of Donetsk: as a result of shells hitting the city’s boiler houses, more than four dozen houses were left without central heating in the Kuibyshevsky district, and in the Kievsky district, eighty-one houses were left without hot water and without heating.
Repair work is underway, which is difficult due to the constant danger of new shelling from the Ukrainian army.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, shelling resumed at night: GRAD missile launchers are in operation and can be heard in several areas of the city at once.
