Donetsk is under fire: they aim at the SBU and Regional State Administration, but hit civilians, universities and shopping centers (VIDEO)
Donetsk, August 14 (Navigator, Mikhail Shalyapin, Victoria Litovchenko) – Shelling continues in Donetsk. After the traditional night shelling, which according to official data resulted in no deaths, heavy daytime fire began in the city center.

According to local residents, planes were seen flying over the city. Also in the Petrovsky district, two explosions were heard, presumably due to missile hits, which left craters with a diameter of 5 - 7 meters.
Also, for one and a half to two hours there was shelling from Grads and heavy artillery.
According to eyewitnesses, employees were evacuated from the Regional State Administration building, where the DPR government is now located. Literally a few hundred meters from the building of the regional state administration and the SBU, where one of the militia headquarters is located, shells exploded.
It is reliably known that the shell hit the educational building of the Donetsk National Technical University.
“The driver of the university died. It is also known that a woman died in the university yard. Employees of the State Emergency Service told the publication that at the intersection of the street. Artyom and the 25th anniversary of the Red Army, another person died,” reports the Ura-Donbass publication.
A teacher of the Donetsk National Polytechnic University was also injured as a result of shelling of the building.
According to social media users, the Planet shopping center and the Green Plaza shopping and office center, located at the intersection of Artema Street and Sadovoy Prospekt, were also damaged.
A total of nine casualties are currently known as a result of the daytime shelling. At the same time, residents of Donetsk assume that this figure will increase: too massive fire is being conducted in the city.
Numerous fires are recorded in the city. So, in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, a column of smoke is visible from the side of the Lidievka mine village. An outbuilding on the territory of an oil depot is on fire. Shells also fell in the elite cottage community of Donetsk Lipki. More than a dozen houses were damaged, one had a huge hole, another was completely burned out.
As Navigator reported, as a result of the night shelling, a gas pipeline was damaged, as well as power lines, and residential buildings and outbuildings in the private sector were destroyed.
