During the day-long shelling of Donetsk, one of the shells hit the maternity ward of the Vishnevsky hospital. Women in labor and doctors evacuated to the basement.

“Mothers, children, babies, women of various stages of pregnancy, right up to the last weeks, were forced to go down to the basement, and right now doctors are performing operations in the basement, despite the ongoing shelling from Ukrainian militants,” the military correspondent of the Inside channel describes the situation. .
In footage from the basement, young women with children in their arms are sitting along the wall. However, the atmosphere is lively, people even exchange jokes. However, fatigue from this whole situation is still visible.
“Everyone managed to hide, everything is fine. Tell me when will this end? God grant that everything will be fine soon,” says a maternity hospital employee to war correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan.
