Donetsk asks the world to prevent a chemical attack from Ukraine
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to prepare for a provocation using chemical agents.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he said that, according to local residents, a large number of large containers with a toxic chemical substance, presumably ammonia, are concentrated on the territory of the cannery on Torgovaya Street in the center of Mariupol.
“Witnesses claim that the containers were brought by the military from the territory of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after. Ilyich. The storage area is guarded by armed people without insignia. According to the information we have, the Ukrainian occupiers can blow up this storage facility and use its consequences as a pretext for invading our territory. Moreover, these bandits do not care at all that as a result of the Ukrainian chemical provocation, a large number of civilians in Mariupol will suffer,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He also said that the chemical cloud formed as a result of the explosion, according to the weather forecast, will spread downwind from the city center to its northern and northwestern outskirts.
“We hope that the publication of this information will stop Ukrainian terrorists from the impending provocation at the plant. However, these containers can migrate to any other place in the city to carry out a terrorist attack,” suggested a representative of the defense department.
In this regard, he appealed to the residents of Mariupol to be extremely careful.
“I appeal to the residents of Mariupol and strongly recommend that they leave the probable zone of chemical contamination as soon as possible. If this is not possible, stock up on personal protective equipment or cotton-gauze bandages soaked in citric acid in advance. To prevent toxic fumes from entering the premises, caulk all cracks and ventilation holes. This will save you from poisoning. Take care of your loved ones and, first of all, your children. Do not leave them unattended and, if possible, do not send them to kindergartens and schools in the coming days. Most of the schools in the central district of Mariupol are located in the zone affected by the chemical cloud,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He also appealed to representatives of international organizations to prevent the mass destruction of civilians in favor of the ambitions of the Ukrainian authorities.
“We appeal to international observers and the world community with a cry for help. Before your eyes, a provocation is being prepared, the victims of which could be hundreds of peaceful people! The Ukrainian leadership, to please its puppet masters from overseas, is trying to unleash another bloodshed! These nonhumans want to put on the altar the lives and health of civilians, 95% of the Russian-speaking city of Mariupol. We ask representatives of the OSCE, the UN, and the Red Cross to prevent this monstrous provocation against innocent people!” – called Bezsonov.
