Residents and guests of the DPR saw off the leader of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, who died as a result of a terrorist attack, on his final journey through a funeral procession through the center of Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

A column of people with a gun carriage, on which stood the coffin with the body of the deceased head of the DPR, passed from the Donetsk Opera House, where earlier a farewell ceremony took place, to the Administration of the Head of the Republic on the central street of Artyom. Throughout the procession they applauded and chanted “thank you.” Many had tears in their eyes.
