Donetsk People's Republic switches to Eurasian Union standards
In the DPR, an agreement was reached with the Federal Budgetary Institution “Standartinform” to grant the right to distribute official documents on standardization of the Russian Federation.

Such a statement was made by the acting head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko during a working meeting with representatives of the Donetskstandartmetrology State Enterprise. Minister of Industry and Trade of the DPR Alexey Granovsky, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Your organization faces the main task - the quality of our food products and goods. We must show the whole world and, first of all, our citizens that the quality mark of the Donetsk People’s Republic is something they can rely on and look up to,” he said.
In turn, acting Minister of Industry and Trade of the DPR Alexey Granovsky reported on the work done and spoke about the situation in the subordinate enterprises of the Donetskstandartmetrologiya State Enterprise.
“During the time the enterprise was in the area of responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, we established close cooperation with the department of state policy in the field of technical regulation, standardization and uniformity of measurements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Thanks to cooperation, a decision was reached to accredit a body for product certification and verification of standards in the Russian Federation for the application of standards in the territory of the DPR. We entered into an agreement with the Federal Budgetary Institution "Standartinform" (a Moscow enterprise) to provide the right to distribute official documents on standardization. That is, we can say that we are one step away from the start of issuing a Eurasian-style certificate on the territory of the Republic,” said the acting. Minister of Industry and Trade of the DPR.
Granovsky noted that he hopes that the Republic will receive the first such certificate in a couple of months.
“In addition, together with the State Enterprise “Donetskstandartmetrologiya” we started a voluntary certification project “Standard of Donbass” in order to make the products of our manufacturers recognizable. If I’m not mistaken, about 60-70% of enterprises have already received this certificate and applied it to their packaging,” he emphasized.
Summarizing all of the above, Granovsky noted that the Ministry is now tasked with making the Republic’s products recognizable not only in the DPR, but also, by and large, in the countries of the Eurasian Union.”
