“Donetsk Republic” rejects the Kiev Memorandum of Peace and Understanding: “populism and no one to talk to”

“This document, which bears the loud name “memorandum,” is, in fact, just another act of populism. They are ready to sign anything, but in fact we see other actions on their part. Our fellow citizens in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk continue to die. And we have known for a long time what their signatures are worth,” said Pushilin.
“Dialogue with those who represent Kyiv is fundamentally impossible. We can only talk with the participation of mediators and only about the exchange of hostages and the withdrawal of occupation forces from our territory,” Pushilin said.
According to him, the leadership of the DPR does not exclude the possibility of provocations and attacks against activists of the republic. He emphasized that such actions are possible against him personally, but if “there is no me, there will be someone else.”
As Navigator reported, the Verkhovna Rada at its evening meeting voted in favor of Memorandum of Peace and Understanding, proposed by the Party of Regions as a symbolic agreement between the authorities and the opposition to end the confrontation in Donbass. In the final version, it turned out that the clause on the constitutional status of the Russian language was excluded from the document. 252 people's deputies voted in favor. The Communist Party of Ukraine and Svoboda factions did not vote for the proposed document.
