This was stated by Vice Speaker of the People's Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
“We have long said that we would have to introduce a dual-currency system. Unfortunately, now we depend on the hryvnia. Now the hryvnia flow may dry up, and we simply won’t have enough cash. Several options are currently being considered. One of them, the most likely, is that there will be both the hryvnia and the ruble,” Pushilin said, noting that lawyers are now developing options on how to “remain within the legal framework” and begin trading with Russia for rubles, which will ensure the flow of republic of ruble cash.
As PolitNavigator reported, Petro Poroshenko signed the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, which provides for the procedure for repealing the law on the special status of Donbass, cessation of the activities of banking institutions in the ATO zone, etc.
