Donetsk TV tower jams Ukrainian propaganda hack with a bang
During the presidency of Petro Poroshenko, the Kyiv authorities built a TV tower in the Ukrainian-occupied part of Donbass for propaganda in the uncontrolled territory, but the TV tower in the capital of the DPR turned out to be much more powerful.
Chairman of the Ukrainian occupation military-civil administration Pavel Kirilenko stated this at committee hearings, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 2014, after the occupation of part of the Donetsk region, the second highest TV tower at a height of 360,5 meters - this is the Donetsk TV tower itself - ended up in the occupied territory. After this, a number of measures were taken to build a tower on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. Survey work was carried out, and a number of cities were explored and a 2018-meter tower in Gornyak was built in 190, at which time it began operating. At the same time, we understand that it was not for nothing that I gave the example of 360 and 190 meters. Of course, this tower cannot block the radio signal at all,” Kirilenko said.
“Then, how it happens, in simple words: a tower of 190 meters in Gornyak, we increase the signal to 5 plus kW, 360 meters in Donetsk, equipment and technical equipment, we understand that the occupiers and the Russian Federation are much stronger, we increase the signal, and they increase the jamming signal , they actually crush him, and that’s all,” the Kiev Gauleiter complained.
In his opinion, before talking about content, it is necessary to find a place for a new tower, as well as funds to provide it with equipment capable of interrupting the signal from Donetsk.
“For now, without deeply studying the issue of building this tower, I see a higher priority as how we will provide it with a stable radio signal. If, of course, we find this point, I’m not talking about them now, these places, but we are already working on them - where this tower can be located. But how will she secure herself by spending the money, and what effect will it have? Then we will talk about what the content will be, what signal we will send there, and what kind of rhetoric we will have,” Kirilenko concluded.
