This was stated today by the Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic Igor Kostenok, who held a working meeting of rectors of higher educational institutions of III – IV levels of accreditation.
An important topic of discussion was the status of higher education documents. “One of the options being considered is to grant the republic’s universities the right to issue their own diplomas in accordance with the international practice of world-famous educational institutions.
The issue is at the development stage, and we are open to proposals directly from universities,” emphasized Igor Kostenok. In addition, the issue of preparing the 2015 entrance campaign was also raised. There are two pilot proposals in development: the first provides for the admission of applicants to higher educational institutions of the Donetsk People's Republic on the basis of a competition of school certificates and the results of a specialized examination in universities, the second - on the basis of the Unified State Exam (USE).
“We will independently create an education system that will directly meet our needs, of course, taking into account the best world developments,” the minister noted.
