Donetsk MP: The primaries will be held fairly, unlike the elections in Ukraine
The primaries, which will be held tomorrow in the Donbass republics, will demonstrate that the LDPR is capable of organizing the voting process more democratically and openly than Ukraine.
This forecast was expressed to PolitNavigator by Evgeny Orlov, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR.

“Our assessment of the local elections held in Ukraine has long been known. We believe that they were not only undemocratic, but also carried out with significant violations of the law and general norms, including ethical ones. In this sense, the quality of the primaries held should show that we are more ready than Ukraine to hold local elections,” the parliamentarian said.
“We went through this campaign, we have a sufficient number of participants, which indicates that the election process was truly competitive. Suffice it to remember what debates there were about the same village of Andreevka. The high level of organizational work is noted not only by us, citizens of the Republic, but also by international observers from various countries,” added the deputy.
“First of all, the republic itself needs primaries. This is a further continuation of statehood building... As for the international community, it seems to me that assessments may not always be objective. We will probably hear the now traditional accusations that “everyone votes at gunpoint.” However, the primaries are another step towards ensuring that an adequate part of the world community sees that the processes that are characteristic of the civilized world are taking place here,” Orlov concluded.
