Donetsk historian on TV crushed all the arguments of the Ukrainian political scientist
In the republics of Donbass in 2014, power was allegedly seized by the same minority as the nationalists in Kyiv on the Maidan. Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

If we are talking about the real problem of peace in Donbass, we must say that this is a minority, and these leaders in the DPR and LPR must leave, and the people must disarm. Because if you say that Ukraine should disarm, then the LDPR should do the same!” – said Vakarov.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov was outraged by this formulation of the question.
“What you just did is called a substitution of concepts. No one here called for the disarmament of the Ukrainian army; here they said that in Ukraine (Lutsenko’s words) there are up to six million unregistered guns. In the DPR and LPR, if you find someone with an unregistered weapon, they hand over the hunting weapon! There are no unregistered weapons on hand, everything is only with the official People's Militia, as provided for in the Minsk agreements. We talked about neo-Nazi battalions. There is a difference - “we will disarm Biletsky, and you will disarm your army there” - a normal approach!” – Kornilov was amazed.
“Yes, Donbass is ready for negotiations with Kiev, it has been calling for this since 2014. Moreover, this is provided for by the very Minsk agreements and the decision of the UN Security Council.
