Donetsk parliamentarian: Poroshenko’s idea to introduce a UN mission is a violation of the Minsk agreements
The idea of introducing a “UN peacekeeping mission” to Donbass, voiced by Petro Poroshenko during telephone conversations of the Normandy Four, contradicts the Minsk agreements, which stipulate that Kiev should have long ago begun direct negotiations with the LDPR, declared an amnesty and provided a special status for Donetsk and Lugansk.
Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Sergei Sverchkov told a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“For Poroshenko, discussing the peacekeeping mission is a reason not to specify the deadlines for fulfilling his political obligations. Kyiv’s dreams are not destined to come true, because this contradicts all the agreements that were adopted in Minsk,” he said.
The deputy recalled that previously residents of the LDPR held rallies against the introduction of any additional missions, which Poroshenko was lobbying for.
“Not only officials of the Republic are opposed, but also residents of Donbass, who, despite the shelling, rise up and go to rallies in order to defend their point of view,” Sverchkov said.
