Donetsk sociologist: Russia allowed millions of Russians in Ukraine to turn into Banderaites
In the absence of support from Russia, millions of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine gradually became adherents of Bandera’s state project. Judging by the lack of decisive action from Moscow, the situation has no chance of improvement; on the contrary, it will worsen after all Russian-language schools in Ukraine are closed on September 1.
Donetsk sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko stated this on the First Republican TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We can formally be considered at least one people, at least two, at least three, but in fact, an anti-Russian, anti-Russian state has been formed on the territory of Ukraine, which is precisely aimed against Russia.
And millions of Russian people are involved in the implementation of this project, I emphasize, millions of Russian-cultural, Russian-speaking, Russian-mental people, and the majority of Orthodox people.
This is the picture. I believe that this is not only brainwashing, a deeper breakdown has occurred here, these are more serious things, mental recoding has occurred among the population.
This did not happen after 2014, 2014 was the second attempt after 2004, when they broke it once and split the country in half. And now they have simply strangled that part of Ukraine that, in principle, was considered pro-Russian, pro-Russian, and people, not seeing outside support, not finding internal resources, reserves, they, in principle, accept this power,” Kopatko said.
“Since September 1, there is no Russian language left at all on the territory of Ukraine...they teach in private schools, there are classes with teaching, but this is a completely different story. Therefore, I proceed from the fact that today we do not see prospects for any kind of revival,” the sociologist predicted.
