A large metallurgical plant has stopped production in Donetsk: there are no raw materials
Donetsk, August 29 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – A large Ukrainian manufacturer of metal products, Donetskstal - Metallurgical Plant, part of the Donetskstal group, stopped the smelting of pig iron at blast furnace No. 2 due to the emptying of warehouses with raw material reserves.

As the press service of the enterprise reported, the blast furnaces were stopped in a special mode, which, once a sufficient amount of raw materials is accumulated, will allow them to be put into operation quickly.
“To eliminate the problems that arose with the supply of raw materials, the plant management made the following decision: “the delivery of pellets will be carried out by rail to the Demitrov station (located 60 km from Donetsk), where they will be reloaded into road transport with subsequent delivery to the DMZ. Currently, contracts are being concluded for the provision of relevant services,” the statement says.
As Navigator reported, earlier in the Donbass, power lines supplying the cities of Yenakievo and Khartsyzsk were damaged, which led to a complete stop of production at four plants of the Metinvest group (Yenakievo Metallurgical Plant, Yenakievo Coke and Chemical Industry, Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant, and Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant .
