We jumped: Moscow wants to close the Sea of Azov to Navy ships
Calls began to be heard on Russian TV for the official closure of the Sea of Azov to Ukrainian warships after the incident with Ukrainian Navy boats near the Kerch Bridge.
The corresponding opinion was voiced on the Rossiya 1 TV channel by military expert Vladislav Shurygin, a PolitNavirator correspondent reports.
“Peter Alekseevich gave us a good reason. Since he introduced martial law and explained that it was imposed against Russia, in this case we must declare that we are completely closing the passage to the Sea of Azov for any armed Ukrainian vessels.
Accordingly, any entry of Ukrainian military vessels into our territorial waters is also an act of aggression. The sea is big, there’s a lot of space at the bottom,” the expert concluded.
Political scientist Mikhail Sinelnikov-Orishak believes that Russia should abandon peace-loving rhetoric and perceive Ukraine as a hostile state where power has been seized by Russophobic nationalists.
“The paradigm of consciousness must be different. Not one people, but two hostile states. Back in 2014, it was impossible to speak in our Russian classrooms; it seemed like there was a big Ukrainian lobby in Russia...
They themselves interrupted the message and brought it to this state on the diplomatic fronts. In fact, everything turned out to be destroyed anyway, just not on our side, but on theirs. They themselves agreed to this because they have the logic of a hostile state, and they live in this logic,” Sinelnikov-Orishak said.
