Pre-reform: from October 1, Yuzhmash will work once a week
The state enterprise “Dnepropetrovsk Machine-Building Plant” (formerly “Yuzhmash”) is switching to a one-day working week from October 1. The enterprise will operate in this mode at least until December 31, 2015.

This was announced by the leader of the alternative trade union of the enterprise, Yevgeny Derkach.
Also at the plant there is a large debt in paying salaries to the staff. It has already reached 80 million hryvnia. The last time people received their salaries for May, 23% of the total amount.
On October 1, an initiative group of enterprise workers plans to meet with the regional leadership. People are demanding to intervene in the situation regarding wage arrears.
The management of the enterprise promises to pay people only after receiving contracts. Employees do not agree with this position of management. If the debt is paid off in the near future, they promise to go to a protest.
