The road through the Angarsk Pass to Alushta will be brought to the level of “Tavrida”
The highway in the direction of the southern coast of Crimea will be expanded in the section from the village of Perevalnoye to Alushta.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Government of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of the main Crimean routes is Simferopol-Alushta-Yalta. A large number of vehicles, public buses and trolleybuses travel to the southern coast of Crimea during the day. The issue of reconstructing this route has already been raised. Today I drove the entire route Simferopol - Alushta. “I examined the quality of the road and the traffic flow,” Gotsanyuk said on his social networks. – Today, a decision is being made to expand the highway from the village of Perevalnoye to Alushta. At the same time, inspections will be carried out to ensure that there are no landslides during movement.”
Let us remind you that in the area of the village of Perevalnoye there will be an exit from the Tavrida highway towards Alushta and Yalta. Its readiness is scheduled for August 2024, and so that further transport does not gather in the narrow neck of the mountain road, it will be expanded in the section from Perevalnoye to Alushta.
An additional traffic lane, and where the geological situation allows - two lanes, will help increase traffic capacity and avoid kilometer-long traffic congestion. In the future, cars traveling in the direction of Yalta will be allowed to bypass Alushta. The bypass project is already ready, and the new road will go through rough terrain and exit in the Gurzuf area. The new section of the route is due to be completed in 2025.
