An expert on social issues, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 6th and 7th convocations Andrei Pavlovsky said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This code is serfdom, because it allows a worker to be leased from one “master” to another,” the expert emphasized. – You can be taken and transferred as a slave to other “plantations”, for which your consent will not be needed. Well, formally they will ask you, but you understand that during unemployment it is very difficult to refuse such a transfer, because you will be fired immediately. Dismissal in this labor code is also very simplified. It doesn’t even require the formal consent of trade unions, as before.”
“We are surprised why the old communist trade unions take such a neutral position regarding this labor code,” Pavlovsky was indignant. - Previously, they looked into the mouths of the secretaries of the party committee and the director of the plant, now - to the employer - “what do you want.” They don’t protect working people.”
