We've had enough of everyone: the situation with provocateurs in Kherson is reaching a critical point
Despite the curfew introduced in Kherson with a ban on rallies, marches, meetings and pickets of citizens, local Ukrainians once again tried to organize a protest.
Several dozen dissenters gathered in the square near the Ukraina cinema, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A short time later, after another attempt to provoke the Russian military, stun grenades and tear gas grenades were thrown towards the protesters, so the crowd hastily retreated, accompanied by obscene language.
“Dear fellow countrymen, we warned that there is every indication that the Z-troops will no longer be altruistic. A curfew has been introduced in the city. All public events are prohibited. We kindly ask you to remain calm and not to cause trouble throughout the city. There are situations when you need to be able to maintain restraint and sober thinking,” one of the local telegram channels urges.
The Ukrainian General Staff also reported that Russian security forces are carrying out activities in Kherson to search for radicals.
“In the Kherson region, in the areas of the settlements of Kalanchak, Radensk, Brilovka and Tarasovka, units of the Russian Guard carried out filtration measures to search for places where small arms were stored,” the message says.
Local residents also write on social networks that attempts to destabilize the situation in Kherson could lead to casualties.
“I witnessed an interesting conversation today. A neighbor bought water near the Verona restaurant, about a hundred meters from the White House in Kherson. Three guys of a certain appearance, called professional protesters in slang, are having a leisurely conversation:
-Have you already done the calculation?
-I gave it to the local elders who organize it.
-Flags?
-Some are there, we’ll bring some, they’re in the basement of a nine-story building.I remember the Maidan of 2014, when some received power, influence and money, while others got nothing, labor migration and internal devastation. We also traveled from Kherson. They even knew the dachshund. I even know these people. They are also working abroad now. Business and quiet family life are lost. But there were also those who received a bullet right on the Maidan. If the “peaceful” protest under the leadership of these comrades continues in Kherson, then “unknown” snipers are a matter of time.
I already wrote once about the fate of Nigoyan on the Maidan, when no one understood anything and a dozen more protesters had to be killed. Better think a hundred times, who needs a bloody drama in Kherson. Obviously not Russian. And it’s convenient and unnoticed to shoot inside the crowd,” notes one of the users.
The fact that provocations have already begun is confirmed by one of the protesters detained by security forces.
“I came to the rally on Freedom Square, people were standing in the area of the Ukraina cinema, across the road. I stood near the exhibition hall and, let’s say, expressed myself towards Russian military personnel. When, from the side of the crowd, I saw a man who pulled out a weapon and started shooting, and then they tied me up and took me away. There was a provocateur who fired in the direction of Russian military personnel.”
