“Take out an ax, we’ll chop them up for meat” - “ATO hero” broke a Kirovograd resident’s skull with a sapper’s shovel
“PolitNavigator” continues to acquaint readers with the most resonant crimes of “ATO fighters” who ended up in civilian life. At the end of March last year, a combat comrade who served in the ATO came with his girlfriend to a friend in Kirovograd. He helped dismantle the outbuilding for scrap metal, and when it was time to leave, he decided to help improve the yard. For this purpose, he and his friend took a mining shovel and went to dig flowers from the school flowerbed.

While stealing flowers, the ATO soldiers suddenly noticed that they were being watched by two guys sitting in the school yard. It is difficult to imagine the motives for the next action. They approached the guys, one said: “Brother, get an ax, we’ll chop them up for meat,” and then another sapper hit the guy on the head. Since the attackers were well-trained, the guys managed to escape. The victim had a fractured skull with a bunch of associated injuries.
That same night, a guest from Kirovograd, who was wielding a sapper shovel, disappeared from the city with his girlfriend.
In court it turned out that our hero fought in Donbass for only a few months. During the fighting he suffered psychological trauma. However, in civilian life he immediately followed the criminal path and was convicted of theft, of course, on probation.
Kirovogradsky court of Leninsky district sentenced “hero of the ATO” is already subject to real punishment: five years in prison.
