Achievement: Ukrainians began to travel less on public transport
Over the 8 months of 2018, 2,3% fewer people used passenger transport services compared to the same period last year, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is evidenced by State Statistics data.
“In January-August 2018, all modes of transport carried out a passenger turnover of 69,2 billion pas.km, which is 5% of the volume in January-August 2017. At the same time, 2 billion 983,9 million passengers used passenger transport services, which is 2,3% less than the volume in January-August 2017,” the State Statistics Service reported.
The reform of railway transport provides for the reform of Ukrzaliznytsia, the separation of activities for managing the infrastructure of freight and passenger transportation, as well as a number of other measures.
