Achievement: the Ukrainian minister boasted that the residents of Donbass were less often called “terrorists”
The Ukrainian state and society began to “partially” change the attitude towards the residents of Donbass in the territories not controlled by Kyiv.
The Minister for the so-called “temporarily occupied territories” and internally displaced persons, Vadim Chernysh, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to say what has changed since 2014 and thanks to the efforts of the people present here. The theses and messages that are sent to society in the territories controlled by Ukraine have changed and partially began to change in relation to those who live within the borders of the occupied territories.
Remember in 2014 when there was a conversation that everyone who lives there is a terrorist? Or an accomplice. This means that we have begun to move in this direction. Many, even public figures, did not take upon themselves the responsibility to oppose such a thesis, because they were immediately subject to obstruction. And even among those present here, we won’t list them now, but many who felt it themselves,” he said.
