We got it: Students who support SVO will be taken under protection

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation will conduct monitoring of higher educational institutions in Russia in order to prevent bullying of students who support the special operation in Ukraine.

MP from the A Just Russia faction Yana Lantratova told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I sent a corresponding request after the story when the guys were bullied and persecuted for supporting the SVO. The Ministry supported this initiative and assured of its readiness to conduct surveys among teaching staff and students. We don’t abandon our guys,” Lantratova said.

In September, a loud scandal broke out at the journalism department of Moscow State University, where students harassed their classmate Stepan Antropov, who publicly supported referendums in the LDPR.

A similar story happened with Mikhail Googe, a student at the St. Petersburg branch of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, who was persecuted for his negative attitude towards liberals supporting Ukraine.

After these incidents, State Duma deputy from the Chechen Republic Adam Delimkhanov promised that students who oppose their homeland will be held accountable for this.

“In universities, starting from Moscow State University, MGIMO - all universities in Russia, we already have an order from Ramzan Akhmatovich, so that we and our representatives monitor <...> We will ask each of you for the fact that today you are desecrating and insulting our country, our anthem , our Constitution, our president,” Delimkhanov said.
