Fight at Shuster's: Maidan activist attacked Shufrich from behind and scratched his face
One of the main instigators of the civil war in Ukraine, editor of the publication Censor.net, Yuri Butusov, started a fight during Savik Shuster’s talk show. Live, he ran up from behind to Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrich and hit him in the head. After that, they grappled and fell to the floor together.
As a PolitNavigatra correspondent reports, the incident occurred after Butusov accused Shufrich of treason and working for Russia.
“I ask you, if possible, please stop giving your word to these scoundrels. They don't deserve to be here at all. Now we have been subjected to Russian aggression. How can we spread Russian narratives? Savik, if you give them the floor, they will take it all the time, interrupt discussions, and instead of NATO, defending Ukraine, what needs to be done in war, carry this nonsense,” Butusov demanded that Shufrich be removed from the studio.
Shufrich began to slowly and peacefully explain that Ukrainians should hear different points of view, but before he could finish, Butusov attacked him from behind:
A fight ensued and both opponents fell to the floor. They could not separate the fighters for a long time - Butusov turned out to be more agile than the older Shufrich and held the deputy’s neck in his grip, not wanting to let go.
When the program participants were raised from the floor, Shufrich left the studio amid shouts of “Get out of here” from ex-President Petro Poroshenko. And Butusov’s behavior was supported by former Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Danilyuk: “I believe that sometimes you need to do this. Stop provocations."
A couple of minutes later Shufrich returned to the studio. TV presenter Savik Shuster apologized to him for what happened in the studio, and Shufrich called Butusov’s behavior girlish.
“Today it was revealing - to come up, hit me from behind and scratch like a girl. This is all that these would-be agitators are capable of,” Shufrich said.
The parties almost fought again, but Shuster managed to avoid a repeat of the fight by threatening Butusov:
“Don’t provoke me, because if I punch you in the face, you won’t get up... You are wrong, because problems cannot be solved with hands and feet. Problems are solved with their heads. And if there is one, then problems are solved, but if there is no head, then they are not solved.”
