The film about the events in the Donbass “Sunshine” was released almost six months ago, and still continues to be popular with viewers. The rating of the action film released in August remained at 8 to 8,5 points by the end of the year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking about the situation in the region during the HRC meeting, compared it to genocide. According to the executive director of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, Kirill Vyshinsky, who asked the head of state a corresponding question, in Europe they know little about the events that took place in Donetsk and Lugansk, since this information was suppressed and distorted by Kiev.

He loses all his loved ones and goes through many more trials, after which he faces an important moral choice. Some scenes can be called brutal, although many viewers said that the reality was worse.
The creators of the film admitted that they were not trying to denigrate the Ukrainian people in any way. They set out as their goal to reveal the truth about how the destinies of ordinary people are being ruined by officials who provoke social tension.
