Drozdov: The Kerch Bridge forever tore Crimea away from Ukraine
Ukraine now needs the topic of Crimea only to motivate the extension of anti-Russian sanctions.
Lvov journalist Ostap Drozdov stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Crimea, Russia has officially opened a railway connection across the Kerch Bridge. This means very simple: Crimea, goodbye, Crimea, goodbye.” Ukraine, my dear, my dear Ukrainians, forget about this peninsula,” Putin told you, “that’s all.” The railway connection between Crimea and mainland Russia means that Crimea will never return to Ukraine. I enter the 20th year with a very clear message: “Crimea is a good day.”
They forgot about the topic of Crimea. We keep it only as a basis for sanctions, for sanctions lists, we keep it only as a moment of pressure on Russia as an aggressor. We keep it as an evidence base for the annexation, but in our minds we understand for ourselves - Crimea has sailed away, goodbye... For ourselves, I think many Ukrainian people have already written it off after this Kerch bridge. Because it is absolutely impossible to return something that has a mainland connection with Russia; it is actually to regain Russia with the right to bring there anyone, anything, anytime,” Drozdov said.
