Drozdov: “Latin is checkmate to the Russian world”
The transition of the Ukrainian language to the Latin alphabet will help the country quickly escape from Russian influence.
Lvov journalist Ostap Drozdov, notorious for his pathological Russophobia, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Drozdov, there is no need to ask the population whether they agree with the transition, but to introduce the simultaneous use of the Cyrillic and Latin alphabet with the gradual displacement of the usual alphabet.
“Latin, dear friends, this is our checkmate against the Russian world. Cyrillic is the Russian world. Cyrillic is a “Rashi” zone. And “Russia” bases its expansion on the Cyrillic alphabet. That is why our children consume Russian content, because it is Cyrillic, and that is why you are becoming more and more Russified, because you are Cyrillic. If you can’t do it yourself for the next generations, please grit your teeth and endure, nothing will happen to you - in Montenegro they didn’t ask the old Montenegrins if they agreed to switch to the Latin alphabet - they switch in a parallel way, there is both this and that. But they are gradually replacing the Latin alphabet,” said the Russophobe.
“As long as we are Cyrillic, we are pro-Russian, gentlemen, and we need to understand this. There is no hysteria here about the loss of identity, what is there to lose? Go to a museum, read the Old Russian language - you will break your tongue, there are no native speakers of this language. This is the language of only book archives, you do not communicate in this language,” Drozdov said.
Let us recall that earlier the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov said that the Ukrainian language must be translated into Latin, and make English a compulsory learning program, starting in kindergarten.
