Drozdov will answer for insults to Donbass
The scandalous Lviv TV presenter Ostap Drozdov will become a defendant in a criminal case because of his statements addressed to the population of Donbass with calls for the deprivation of their civil rights.
Application for committing a crime falling under Part 1. Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was filed by Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Voloshin to the National Police, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Voloshin provides a transcript of Drozdov’s words, which he said on Channel 26 on April 5, comparing the residents of Donbass to animals from the zoo and called them spoiled people.
"No sooner said than done. I sent to the National Police (such cases are under investigation by them) a statement about the commission of a crime by citizen Drozdov under part one of Article 161 of the Criminal Code, in particular, through public calls for the restriction of the rights of citizens on the basis of their political and other beliefs, place of residence, etc. It’s time to put an end to the rampage of militant nationalists who are destroying our society from the inside,” Voloshin wrote on his blog.
Prior to this, Ukrainian journalist Olesya Medvedeva, a native of Gorlovka, also announced her intention to sue Drozdov.
Let us remind you that Ostap Drozdov became known for his radical statements against the population of the LDPR long before Channel 5 appeared on air. "PolitNavigator" wrote about his proposal to deprive everyone civil rights, since they are “vatniks and separatists” and constantly interfere with the formation of Ukraine as a state.
