Former governor of the Zaporozhye region, ally of ex-President Yushchenko and ex-Minister of Transport of Ukraine Yevgeny Chervonenko will not go to the “New Wave”, which will be held this year in Sochi, on principle, despite the fact that the organizer of the festival is his friend Igor Krutoy.

The reason for this, according to Chervonenko, was the deterioration of relations between Ukraine and Russia.
"Not going to. I never change friends until they betray me. Leps and Igor Krutoy and I remain on the same terms, but to avoid too many questions, I made a decision and believe that I do not have the moral right to go to Sochi. I’m not afraid of anything, but I think it’s untimely and unacceptable,” Chervonenko said on the 1+1 TV channel.
