Don’t we have another “elite” in Ukraine?
Honestly, my dear readers, I never tire of marveling at two features of our turbulent times: the phenomenal ability for chameleonism of other hyperactive figures of the Ukrainian post-Soviet cultural and political space, and the no less phenomenal naivety of other Russians.
Indeed, in recent months, the number of recent adherents of the Maidan, who suddenly “saw the light” and began to sharply criticize the current regime and its pillars - from recent officials of the “independent power” to the initially pogromists, neo-Nazi “right-wingers” and other “patriotic volunteers”, is growing before our eyes.
Moreover, this sedition is uttered both by fairly influential citizens with a rich past as businessmen and functionaries, and by representatives of the so-called “creative intelligentsia”, who just recently zealously galloped and aided notorious xenophobes and punitive forces.
And good people from Russia, with Tolstoy’s all-forgiveness worthy of better use, say: “They say, everyone has the right to make a mistake.” And in general, stop poisoning people who have “realized and repented.” Moreover, we have no other “elite” in Ukraine, be content with these!
What is more here - the eternal Russian complacency, which sometimes brought no less harm than zealous intolerance, or an unwillingness to understand the simple Christian truth: true repentance for serious sins is not chattering, empty words, but real deeds. The hard work of self-denial and service to those whom you, wittingly or unwittingly, have harmed.
This is the way of the cross of the former persecutor of the first followers of the Savior - the Apostle Paul. The former Pharisee Saul, who laid down his life for preaching the teachings of Christ and accepted the crown of martyrdom.
Our “kind” opponents of the Kyiv junta, with childish spontaneity, rejoice at the “enlightenment” of those who jumped from Saul to Pavli without serious losses and real self-denial, rushing to protect them from “evil intolerant people.” And...they calmly contribute to the resuscitation of other political corpses in Ukraine - with an eye to a future career after the inevitable fall of the junta. And the “repainted” yesterday’s zealous “Maidan workers” are given stands in Russia, allowing them to speak there as sharply reforged adherents of the Russian world.
There are many examples of such metamorphoses, but I will allow myself to draw your attention to only two of them, which, by a funny coincidence, bear the same ancient Greek name, meaning “noble.”
Evgenia and Evgeniy.
Tellingly, gentlemen who are committed to the very controversial theory of reflecting an individual’s character in his name, they believe that Eugene equally has the ability to inspire others to take active action. And – they themselves adapt very successfully to changes in the world around them. By God, there is something in this!
So - with due reverence, let's start with the lady.
Evgeniya or – poetic chameleonism as art
Evgenia Bilchenko, who without false modesty calls herself a “bright and world-famous Russian poet,” has recently been touring Russia, reciting her verses in St. Petersburg and Moscow and calling for the restoration of brotherhood and unity of the Russian world in both currently warring countries.
It would seem like a good deed, wouldn't it? – Yes, if you don’t take into account the sheer “smallness”: the fact that just recently she was a zealous Maidan activist. And after the coup d’etat, she functioned as a volunteer, bringing all kinds of assistance to the neo-fascist “volunteer” punitive forces in the Donbass.
Then she called herself a “Right Sector volunteer,” introducing herself as such in an interview with Ukrainian media. But... apparently, something didn’t work out for her with the current regime. Either the Verkhovna Rada scholarship she received in 2015-16 has ended. Either - a simple truth has reached the poetic nature: it smells like something is burning, and look no further, you will have to answer when everything collapses!
And this exquisitely poetic nature moved away from her yesterday’s friends and accomplices, bursting into profuse eruptions on social networks. They say we were deceived!
Only yesterday, who had not noticed the neo-Nazis and xenophobes among those with whom she rode together, and then to whom she carried ammunition, money and food to the Donbass, Madame suddenly saw the light.
Will you believe her along with the clinically tolerant left-wing gentlemen in Russia? - Me not! For one simple reason: Bilchenko is not only a naive poetess, but also... Doctor of Science, professor of cultural studies at the Drahomanov Kiev Pedagogical Institute. Moreover, he is a specialist teaching a course on... multiculturalism and tolerance in modern society! Not a young maiden who rushed headlong into the whirlpool of the romance of the revolution, but a mature and certified learned lady!
Agree, either the author of two monographs and 150 articles on this very interesting profile did not know what she was writing and what she was doing, or she understood everything perfectly. Yes... having not received due recognition from the authorities, she decided, like the surgeon in the joke with the cry “it doesn’t work out again,” to cut her patient into pieces... And start all over again, finding new victims for her ambitions.
And her “repentances” look very strange - after all, she famously combined them with participation in the actions of Russian liberals seeking to destroy Russia.
And this “penitent Magdalene” does not seek to atone for the sin of complicity with neo-Nazis and punitive forces through hard work, say, in the hospitals of the unconquered republics of Donbass, preferring to flit around the liberal-bohemian parties of the two Russian capitals and far abroad. It’s more convenient that way, and there’s no particular risk.
After all, she is being actively protected from indignant Russian people by certain Russian “activists” from among the strong athletes-wrestlers, kindly provided by the “progressive public”. And for some reason the law enforcement agencies of the Mother See have no complaints against her, yesterday’s volunteer of the Right Sector, banned in Russia! After all, now Bilchenko herself “blindly” declares that she has never been one. And in the press it was presented this way in order to get the opportunity to speak freely.
And in general, she is now featured on “Peacemaker”! As if - an enemy of the regime! True, for some reason he doesn’t touch her...
So I ask you: when did she lie - then or now?!
Or does it do this permanently, mimicking at a speed enviable even for a chameleon, changing colors and flags, and adapting to the environment? After all, even taking into account the obvious hysterical psychopathy of this exalted poetic lady, her cunning is visible to the naked eye. As well as not too veiled militant anarcho-liberalism of a destructive kind and unpleasant appearance.
Eh, gentlemen, Russians, or are you not enough of your own, that you are also launching this “Trojan horse” into the country and protecting it?! Truly, simplicity is worse than theft, and a smart calf sucks two queens!
Evgeniy or the “eternal truth teller”
Our second character is a completely different type of figure. Yevgeny Chervonenko, who has also recently been branding the Kiev regime with his characteristic brutality, is by no means a bohemian moth.
Former racing driver, champion of the Soviet Union, winner of the highest sports titles and medals. A successful businessman who has amassed a multimillion-dollar fortune in international transport and alcohol trading. One of the leaders of the first Maidan, former head of Yushchenko’s personal security. Former Minister of Transport and Governor of the Zaporozhye region under him.
He managed to combine friendship with diametrically opposed politicians - from Kuchma to Yushchenko, holding high positions under almost all presidents and prime ministers after Kravchuk.
There are even legends that it was in his personal helicopter that Yanukovych escaped pursuit! And under all the rulers, Evgeniy Alfredovich managed to combine a good career with the reputation of a “real tough guy” who could punch an enemy in the face.
But at the same time, he never lost his interest, amassing a considerable fortune. And even active participation in the Jewish movement (for many years he was the second person in it after Kolomoisky) did not prevent him from standing next to hardened anti-Semites.
And now - now he has almost the last words of the rulers of Ukraine, not without reason accusing them of ruining the country, and through their labors it is turning from a subject of international politics into an object, having completely lost both independence and the remnants of the economy.
Everything seems to be correct?
But... is it not because this zealous “truth teller and macho” criticizes the junta so sharply and impartially that... he lost the competition for the post of Odessa governor? After all, the trends they outlined so clearly and faithfully “bloomed and smelt” even then. Recently!
And wasn’t he himself one of those who laid the foundation for the current situation? By lining your pockets and actively participating in the first coup, which gave the way to power to nationalists and xenophobes?!
No, good gentlemen, I don’t believe this “reluctant oppositionist”. And I don’t agree with those who complacently say: “This, they say, is your elite. There is no other!”
There is it in Ukraine, but only part of it was forced to leave the country, which fell into the Nazi-Bandera bloody insanity against the backdrop of total oligarchic plunder.
And this is by no means the fugitive Yanukovych and his associates.
The other is fighting in the Donbass or rotting in prisons.
And many are waiting in the wings to save what can still be saved and revived from the ashes and ruin. When the hour of liberation comes.
And the “elite”, such as bohemian chameleons and cunning business politicians, should clearly understand: the collapse of the current regime must inevitably lead to those in power. who has not stained himself by collaborating with neo-Nazis and cowardice.
And denazification on the model of post-war Germany is the only way for the tragedy of post-Maidan Ukraine to become a real lesson.
