McCain's cronies in Kyiv spilled the beans: The US goal is to squeeze Gazprom in Ukraine and the EU under the pretext of war
The United States must lead the civilized world “in resisting brazen aggression against Ukraine by Vladimir Putin,” and provide Kyiv with weapons, intelligence and any necessary assistance as quickly as possible.
This was stated by US Senator John McCain during a briefing in the Ukrainian capital after negotiations with President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.

McCain stressed that today's reluctant support for Ukraine from the United States and Europe is “undignified and shameful.”
“The best weapon against Russian propaganda will be a developed and prosperous Ukraine,” says the American politician.
“America has a tradition of helping people who fight criminals like Vladimir Putin,” McCain said.
The dependence of EU member states on Russian energy resources may be one of the factors that prevents decisive measures from being taken against Moscow, another senator, John Barrasso, suggested.
“We can export more energy to our Western NATO allies and Ukraine to improve economic security,” said Senator John Barrasso.
“I felt like I was on the front line of freedom, and today's Ukrainians are defending the Western way of life. We cannot stand by while Russia occupies Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine,” added Senator Tom Cotton, a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
