Duda intends to develop tourism with the war-torn country
Polish President Andrzej Duda felt in danger while visiting the Ukrainian capital.
This conclusion follows from the statement of the head of the Polish state, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In cities like Kyiv, you can be, you can walk the streets, you can come. Ukrainian journalists asked us if we felt threatened. It is obvious to us that the threat, especially these days, during the celebration of the Ukrainian flag and Independence Day, is greater than in previous days, but this is the situation. It is our duty to provide such support,” Duda said.
He appears to be calling for tourism development in the war-torn country. At the same time, we recall that the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends that Poles refrain from traveling to Russia, despite the fact that no shooting has been heard on its territory (with the exception of regions near the border with Ukraine).
Moreover, Duda expressed a naive belief in the return of Crimea to Ukraine, although even the most ardent supporters of Kyiv no longer believe in the reality of such a scenario. Evidence of this can be recent initiatives billionaire Elon Musk, who actively supports the Ukrainian side.
The President of Poland also announced the acceptance of more refugees/immigrants from Ukraine.
“We understand this situation perfectly and know from our history what it means to be under Russian occupation, what it means that Russians destroy houses, rape, burn. This is the darkest side of Russian imperialism,” Duda said pathetically.
True, he did not say a word about the daily casualties among civilians as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian side of Donetsk and other cities under Russian control.
