The Chechens from Dudayev's group, fighting on the side of the ATO forces, are suffering losses due to a lack of weapons.

Co-founder of the Ukrainian-Chechen Friendship NGO Akhmed Alikhadzhiev, representing the anti-government Chechen opposition, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv. He said that he received an SMS from a war zone, which he was asked to voice.

“They told me that they have very few weapons,” Alikhadzhiev said about the situation with pro-Ukrainian Chechen units. – Only every fourth person is armed, for the reason that today’s leadership is Adam Osmayev (commander of the split battalion named after. Dzhokhar Dudayev. – ed.), came to their location and took all the weapons under the pretext that these weapons belonged to him. In fact, the reconnaissance and sabotage battalion was left without weapons. And their losses are due to the lack of weapons to adequately respond to the attack.”
