Duda was offered to walk along Khreshchatyk with a portrait of Bandera
Polish President Andrzej Duda should have extended his working visit to Ukraine in order to see with his own eyes the procession in honor of the UPA, whose militants massacred Poles.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On Duda’s visit. He (President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky - ed.) brought with him the head of the Institute of National Memory. That is, one of the main topics of Duda’s visit to Ukraine is a historical topic, they remembered all the difficult moments in the relationship. Listen, why is he leaving on the 13th?
We need to advise him: stay for a day, stay in Kyiv, talk to those people who will come out with portraits of Bandera in the central squares and streets of Kyiv, you can walk with them. Since, at the request of Zelensky, the monument to the Banderaites who died there in Poland is being restored. Well, let’s continue, go out, kiss these Banderaites, walk along Bandera Avenue, and at the same time say that there are no Banderaites in Ukraine.
And he’s leaving on the 13th, just a day - and he’ll see everything with his own eyes, and won’t tell Poland how wonderful everything is, they resolved all the controversial historical issues between Ukraine,” the political scientist said.
“In this statement regarding schools - they signed regarding schools of national minorities - Polish in Ukraine and Ukrainian, respectively, in Poland. But Zelensky is not aware of the law that he signed and put into effect; he does not know that with the stroke of his pen he banned Polish schools, even after 2-3 years? But according to this law, he banned them, all, in fact, national schools in Ukraine.
Now he is signing, it turns out, illegal agreements with Duda on the existence of certain schools. Here's a split consciousness for you. I understand that he doesn’t read the laws that he signs, or these joint statements, and so on, but can someone explain to him that one contradicts the other?” – added Kornilov.
