A fool gets rich with a thought, - an expert on conversations about the “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine
Kyiv, November 09 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukrainian hopes for large-scale financial assistance from the West are akin to the legends about Polubotok’s treasures in British banks, supposedly waiting for their time to shower Ukraine with golden rain.

Such analogies are made by Ukrainian economist Boris Kushniruk, who is quoted by the magazine “Kraina”.
“Talks about the Marshall Plan for Ukraine are reminiscent of the legend about the treasures of Hetman Polubotok in Great Britain,” the expert believes. – We do not believe in our own strengths, but in the fact that someone will give or do something for us. They give it to those who work hard themselves. What we lack for reforms is not money, but desire and political will. We are a great state that can mobilize the necessary funds. But the Yatsenyuk government has not demonstrated any special reforms in eight months. But Yatsenyuk was chosen again. If there are no further reforms, we will have to take to the streets.”
