51,9% of Ukrainian citizens consider the threat of a full-scale war with Russia to be real, but half as many people are ready to participate in it.

Only 27,0% of respondents indicated that they would help territorial defense units in the event of a military conflict with Russia. There are significantly more (38,7%) respondents who intend to support those who advocate ending the war. Many (24,7%) said they would not interfere in anything. (Undecided on the answer – 9,6%).

According to the authors of the study, Ukrainian society is tired of war; Over the two years of armed confrontation in Donbass, pacifist sentiments have intensified. Political “hawks” are unlikely to be able to play the card (speculate on the topic) of the “Russian military threat.”

Today there is no firm confidence in society that the West will remain an ally of Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia and will maintain economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. Less than half (43,7%) of respondents believe that the West will not ease sanctions until the conflict in Donbass is resolved. At the same time, a third (33,7%) of respondents believe that the easing of sanctions is inevitable in the near future. It is also significant that many (22,6%) respondents were undecided on the answer. So, there is no certainty on this issue.

Ukrainian society is divided on the question of whether compromises are possible during negotiations to resolve the conflict in Donbass. Almost half (47,7%) of those surveyed believe that concessions can be made to end the war and normalize relations with Russia. The opposite opinion is shared by 39,3% of respondents. (Undecided on the answer – 13,0%).

There is no clear opinion in Ukrainian society about which way to resolve the conflict in Donbass is acceptable. Only one thing can be confidently stated: the military solution to the problem is supported by a minority of citizens. Only (22,8%) of respondents are in favor of carrying out active military operations and establishing full control over the “occupied territories,” even under the threat of conflict with Russia.

At the same time, a quarter (25,5%) of respondents support the path of reintegration of Eastern Donbass (return to Ukraine), with the DPR-LPR granted special status and rights of broad autonomy.

Many (17,9%) believe that Ukraine should “fence itself off” from the DPR-LPR, giving them the opportunity to exist independently (without their reintegration and official recognition).

And only a few (7,4%) are ready to have Ukraine officially recognize the independence of the DPR and LPR within the demarcation line.

The ambiguity in the perception of the problem is also indicated by the fact that 10,9% of respondents consider all of the above ways of resolving the conflict unacceptable, and 15,5% of respondents found it difficult to answer.
