Osmanov Rustem Memetovich, born in 1979, a native of the Uzbek SSR, a citizen of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, permanently residing in Crimea, in January 2016 joined the ranks of the illegal armed formation of Ukraine - the battalion “named after. Noman Chelebidzhikhan”, headed by the organizer of the food and energy blockade of the Republic of Crimea Lenur Islyamov.
In the “battalion,” Osmanov, who had the call sign “Arab,” was engaged in digging trenches, chopping wood, cooking, and cleaning the territory.
In February 2016, Rustem Osmanov’s brother, Akim Nazimovich Osmanov, born in 1996, joined the battalion and received the call sign “DJ” (later changed to “Wild”). In the illegal armed formation, Akim Osmanov also performed household work, and later took part in the inspection and verification of citizens near the Ukrainian border checkpoint “Chaplinka”.
Constant humiliation and beatings from the so-called “field commanders” of the battalion, lack of funding and slave-like living conditions became the reason for the return of Rustem and Akim Osmanov to the Republic of Crimea.
In accordance with the note to Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization of an illegal armed group or participation in it) The Osmanovs, as persons who voluntarily stopped participating in an illegal armed group, are exempt from criminal liability.
We remind you that previously, an escapee from the battalion “named after. Noman Chelebidzhikhan" Ernest Ablyazimov.
