Small missile boats deployed from the Caspian Sea to the Crimean coast, carrying Caliber missiles, can destroy military installations on the territory of Ukraine, while being at a safe distance.

The head of the board of the Ukrainian Military Center, Taras Chmut, stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the expert, these ships have successfully proven themselves during a missile strike against ISIS in Syria, and they do not need to enter Ukrainian ports to strike targets in Ukraine.

“These two MRKs were transferred not to Azov, but to the Black Sea. Their weapons can be effectively used from anywhere in the Black Sea. They don’t need to go to Azov to do something there... They don’t need to be driven to Mariupol, because the distance there is roughly 200-300 kilometers. They can calmly, from zones that are safe for themselves, without fear of attacks from Ukrainian aviation, destroy targets on almost half of the territory of Ukraine,” Chmut said.
