Two Serbian states will receive gas from Russia regardless of Ukraine
Republika Srpska intends to join the Turkish Stream gas pipeline. This was stated by Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik
“It depends on when the pipeline arrives in Serbia, then, of course, it will also go to Republika Srpska,” Dodik told RTRS television.
He intends to discuss issues of gas supply to the republic with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Previously, representatives of the Republika Srpska communicated with the management of Gazprom.
The politician noted that he would also discuss other forms of economic cooperation with Medvedev.
“I will brief him on the political situation in the Republika Srpska and the problems that have arisen due to the failure to form a government in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik said.
The Serbian section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline will be completed by the end of the year. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia will consume Russian gas, regardless of whether transit through the territory of Ukraine continues.
