Two military factories in Sevastopol are being turned over for residential development
The authorities of Sevastopol convinced the Russian Ministry of Defense to give the territory of two construction factories in the city center for development. Acting Governor of Sevastopol Dmitry Ovsyannikov told reporters about this.
The factories have not been operating for more than 20 years, the territories are empty. Even under Ukraine, the authorities of Sevastopol offered the Russian military to use their lands for new projects.

“We have allocated a site for the Memorial Park to launch this project through exchange. This was the only property issue that we discussed. By and large, if a land plot changes category from “special purpose” to “construction” and remains the property of the Ministry of Defense, what does this have to do with the General Plan? In order not to confuse these issues, it was necessary to eliminate them, to exclude them,” Ovsyannikov said.
Meanwhile, the park will be laid out on the now empty shore, and on the site of the 24th and 54th military factories, the developers of the general plan propose to place new residential areas with 2-4-story buildings.
