Two scammers from Volgograd cheated on a “state house” in Sevastopol
In Sevastopol, two fraudsters who, under the guise of removing “damage”, embezzled 1,6 million rubles, will sit in the dock.
Both face up to 10 years in prison with a fine of 1 million rubles, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Two residents of Volgograd, 48 and 52 years old, approached pensioners on the street, asked them about their health, and then offered to perform a magical “healing ritual.” To do this, they needed all the cash available to the elderly, but only for a while.
After the ceremony, a dummy was returned to the owner instead of real bills. The investigation identified 6 victims of the fraudsters’ actions. For their “rites” they changed their appearance with the help of wigs and glasses.
The Sevastopol prosecutor's office approved the indictment under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - “fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale.” The criminal case was sent to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol.
