Two thirds of young Russians do not want to leave their homeland

The absolute majority (88%) of participants in the VTsIOM survey would not want to leave Russia to move to another country. At the same time, two-thirds of respondents do not note an increase in the number of people leaving for permanent residence in other countries among their friends.

“The share of those wishing to go abroad remains virtually unchanged: in 2011-2018. it fluctuates between 10-13%. In 2018, 10% of Russians said they wanted to leave for permanent residence in another country. Young people are the first to show this desire (among 18-24 year olds – 31%),” says a message on the official website of VTsIOM.
