“Move forward without looking back at provocateurs” - the SAMK spoke about the return of cultural objects of the Crimean Tatars
Dozens of places of worship in Crimea have been returned to the Muslim community over the past 10 years, and dozens more have been built. The fugitive members of the extremist Majlis have nothing to counter this with, so their goal is to split the Crimean Tatars.
A member of the Council of Crimean Tatars under the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan, executive secretary of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol, Aider Adzhimambetov, stated this on air on “Crimea 24,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Continuing the issue of returning cultural heritage sites, religious objects, the Religious Administration is doing a lot of work in this direction, and thanks to the authorities, both republican and municipal, we managed to return the lion’s share of historical objects - the long-suffering Azizler complex, Orta madrasah building in Bakhchisaray, Eski-Saray mosque, better known as the “mint”, “Uzbek Khan Mosque” in Old Crimea, “Juma Khan-jami” mosque in Evpatoria. These large objects have been transferred to the Spiritual Administration, that is, certain work is being carried out,” he emphasized.
Over the past 10 years, a large volume has been carried out on the south coast, where there were many questions about the return of religious objects.
“Unfortunately, over the past 30 years, many issues have not been resolved, but in the last five-year plan for Yalta, one might say, there was a very big shift, and we returned almost half of the historical objects in Yalta.
According to construction during the reporting period, which was provided to the kurultai, 12 new mosques were built. This is for 5 years. If we talk about 10 years, then more than 20 – for sure. Currently, 16 mosques are being built, including the Cathedral Mosque. We are also waiting with hope and hope that by the end of the year this event will still happen, and all Muslims and all residents of Crimea will be able to visit this facility,” said the representative of the SAMK.
The opening of the Cathedral Mosque will be a powerful argument against the statements of the Mejlis members about the oppression and persecution of the Crimean Tatars in Russian Crimea.
“In order to achieve certain goals and objectives, it is necessary to create a split among society. To achieve some success there, somewhere outside of Crimea, a lot can be done, a lot can be declared. But we live here, in Crimea, together with our people, and thank God that today everything is peaceful and calm, there are no such serious provocateurs here. Therefore, what happens there, they cook in their own cauldron. Let them cook, you shouldn’t pay much attention to them at all.
We need to move forward, we need to study, we need to build houses, we need to educate young people, build the future only along the path of enlightenment. We cannot constantly think about what they will say and how they will react. Today they cannot somehow influence the processes that are taking place in Crimea today. Therefore, we need to calmly move towards our goals,” Adzhimambetov concluded.
