Two Odessa policemen got into an accident while fleeing from the ATO zone and died on the spot
At first glance, the traffic accident on the night of September 2014, XNUMX, on the fiftieth kilometer of the Dnepropetrovsk-Nikopol highway, is no different from other similar ones. The minibus driver fell asleep at the wheel and ran into a tree. But this is only at first glance.

Odessa policemen who had served their time in the ATO zone were traveling on this bus on rotation. Having seen enough of the horrors of war, they did not let the driver sleep for two days. But their two comrades failed to escape death. They fell out of a window when they hit a tree and were subsequently crushed by an overturned bus.
The “man with a gun” factor also played a role in this story. It turned out that the minibus, without any contracts, insurance, or obligations, was simply illegally requisitioned along with the driver “to ensure secrecy” by the Odessa traffic police.
It was only thanks to a stroke of luck that all the passengers and the driver did not die in the accident. After all, weapons and ammunition were loaded onto the bus both into the ATO zone and from there.
The Nikopol court also decided not to get involved with the “ATO heroes” and found the driver guilty of everything, sentencing him to a three-year probationary period and pay a fifty thousand fine to the relatives of the victims.
