Two Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers died during an attempt to shell the territory of the LPR
Two Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were killed and another was seriously injured as a result of a self-detonation when fired from a Ukrainian-made Molot mortar. Official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko announced this at a briefing in Lugansk.

According to him, the incident occurred on January 10 in the Popasnaya area.
“Yesterday, two more Ukrainian families were left without breadwinners. And according to the documents, they will be listed as missing. At best, to reassure relatives, the lying Ukrainian media will begin searching for them only on the Internet. As a result of a mine exploding in the barrel of a “high-tech” Ukrainian mortar “Molot” at positions in the area of the Popasnaya settlement during criminal shelling of the territory of our republic, two servicemen of the 1st battalion of the 24th brigade were killed. Another one was seriously injured and hospitalized,” Marochko said.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Taras Pastukh announced at a meeting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had accepted massive scale of deaths of military personnel due to defective Ukrainian-made mortars. According to Pastukh, official Kyiv attributes the deaths to attacks from the Donbass republics.
