The separatist authorities of Kosovo, a region illegally torn away from Serbia with the support of the United States, began negotiations with Albania on the creation of a “mini-Schengen”, which, according to observers, can be considered the forerunner of the project to create a “Greater Albania”. The Americans need it for influence in the region and to counter Russian energy projects.

The summit of the Western Balkan six countries ended yesterday in the Albanian capital Tirana. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also took part in the summit, despite provocations from some Albanian politicians who called him and the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the informal leader of the Serbian part of the country Miroslav Dodik “persona non grata.” Such a post, in particular, appeared on the Twitter page of the head of the Self-Determination party, Boikin Abazi, reported the SRBIN info portal.

But not only this scandal marked the meeting of the leaders of the countries of the region. The main conflict issue is negotiations between the “President” of Kosovo Hashim Thaci and the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama on the creation of a “mini-Schengen”, or, by and large, a prototype of “Greater Albania”.

This topic became central to Vucic’s meeting with the head of European diplomacy, Federica Mogherini. The Serbian president pointed out the double standards of the West - he turns a blind eye to the actions of Albanian separatists, approving the dismemberment of the Serbian state.

“The Albanians managed to normalize the topic of their national unification, and no one else reacted to it. They say impossible things, but in Europe they are already accustomed to this,” Vucic said.

According to the Serbian leader, if he spoke about the Serbian national unification, at least 15 EU services and at least 15 foreign ministers would react to this.

“The story of a “mini-Schengen” between Pristina and Tirana is impossible and stupid, but when the second largest nation in the Western Balkans, after the Serbian people, can talk about national unification, this is not just opening Pandora’s box, it is much more dangerous,” noted Vučić.

In his opinion, the precedent could have great negative consequences for the region, writes Informer.

Journalists noted that Rama and Thaça's talks on “national unity” also included three municipalities in south-central Serbia that are also claimed by Kosovo separatists, citing their Albanian majority.

Vucic warned that the separatists' appetites could increase in conditions of impunity.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic also sharply condemned the actions of the Albanian side.

“This is a slap in the face of the entire EU - for everyone who convinces Serbia that we must be united and calm. We are sitting at the table, and behind our back they are agreeing on the creation of a “great Albania”... We are a small country, but not stupid,” the minister said.

He emphasized that the West prefers to silently observe the actions of the separatists in Kosovo, but would certainly have erupted in protests if Serbia and the Republika Srpska, which is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, began negotiations on reunification.

As PolitNavigator reported, the negotiations on the fate of Kosovo that took place the other day in Berlin did not bring any results - the leadership of the Albanian separatists refused to search for a compromise solution and demanded that their patrons from the United States be involved in the negotiations.

During a visit to Moscow, Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin said that NATO is arming Albanian terrorists.

The United States needs the Greater Albania project in order to have control over transport and energy corridors in the Balkans, say representatives of the Serbian Foreign Ministry.

In recent months, street protests by local opposition have intensified in Serbia demanding the overthrow of President Aleksandar Vucic. According to observers, the street protests are incited by the West to pressure on the Serbian authorities during negotiations on the fate of Kosovo.

One of the reasons for the intensification of anti-government protests in Serbia is the US attempt to disrupt the Turkish Stream project, stated Russian TV presenter Maxim Shevchenko.

Experts believe that if the Maidan in Belgrade is successful, All Russian projects in Serbia will be under threat.

At the end of last year, the Kosovo authorities also imposed a virtual blockade on the supply of goods from Serbia to the Slavic enclaves. Pristina's actions constitute genocide against the Serbian population, said Russian State Duma deputy Pavel Dorokhin.

The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned actions of the authorities in Pristina.
