“The system is smoking!” – the voting remote control of a Ze-deputy in the Rada began to smoke and caught fire
The voting console in the Verkhovna Rada hall caught fire and thick smoke poured out of the device.
The incident occurred during an extraordinary meeting of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As it turned out, the fire occurred at the workplace of Servant of the People deputy Artyom Nagaevsky.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk was forced to interrupt the meeting.
“Dear colleagues, the system is smoking! Break for 15 minutes, figure out why the system is smoking,” the speaker ordered.
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan commented on the incident on her blog.
“Apparently, a whole series of people had an electrical problem: the nearby remote control also showed signs of failure, flashing the screen at times in time with the sparks in Nagaevsky’s remote control.
It's a pity, there's nothing to explode in these crap. And, as far as I understand, it’s also impossible to give an electric shock. A minor emergency, alas,” Montyan wrote.
Thank you!
